Dallas Games Marathon

This weekend was mostly about fun! Except for fighting traffic Friday night to get downtown and having some car issues Saturday, I had a blast playing a ton of games, meeting new people and enjoying the camraderie. My buddy KA was able to provide plenty of space in his old warehouse office building and the entry fee covered snacks and drinks.
Ernie and his shop Lo Tech games provided some door prizes and Carl, Rebecca and Jeff provided some manpower.

I can't say I really won many games (I think maybe two over both days) but that's besides the point. Along with games there was a flea market (where I unloaded a few things) and the door prize raffle. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and even my car battery dying late Saturday night was not enough to spoil it for me.

They want to do it every month, which might be a little much, but we'll see.

My euphoria crash came today when I had to go to the dentist early in the morning, followed by a day at work. To top it off, it seem my neighbor has hit our fence again (with his car). I didn't mind so much last time, but we just got this one! (and as Robely says, it cost half a Kia) He took a big chunk of wood off the corner, but the fence (and it's reinforced concrete pole) fought back, as I found bits and pieces of his tail light cover all over the yard.

I know the people next door are renting (as we discovered through the tax rolls) and as I mentioned before it's the second time they've hit it. Along with all the beer bottles and trash we have found scattered in our yard, I'm thinking we might have to tell their land lady.

*Sigh* sometimes I really hate Mondays
